Default 18 inch Cr's

Can Someone tell me about these offsets. Are they Safe?

18x8.5 (37 offset) 18x9.5 (38 offset)

Say I'm running 255/40 in the rear and 225/40 front?

Any better suggestions for tire size?

a frequently asked question here.... everyone will say roll your fender and apply negative camber to get it to work...

i've yet to see a picture of a mount like that.... i think it was SilentDancer that pulled off a setup like this...

I would say you are going to need to do even more thatn rolling the fenders to make that offset and width work.

Yeah... those offsets are crazy. It WILL NOT WORK with those tire sizes unless you just get crazy with fender rolling and camber. The amount of camber you will have to put in will negatively effect handling as will the narrower tires you will have to run to make it fit.

My opinion: Dont do those sizes unless you are going widebody. The looks are not worth the hassle and the loss of performance... especially when you can get those wheels in offsets that do work.

So lets say a 17x9 on a 47mm offset would work with 255 out back and a 17x8 with a 43mm offset on a 225 will work up front? BTW what suspension you running?
