Default 18" SSR Competition

I just bought 18" SSR Competition with following spec:

Front - 18x8
Rear - 18x9

For tires I will be doing following setup:

Front - 225/40-18
Rear - 255/35-18

My S2k is currently lowered with Espelir springs with stock shocks. Am I going to have any problems with rubbing?

You may need to run more negative camber or roll the fender lip. It all depends on the tires you have.

I am planning to use a pair of 18" S02 I have in front and I just bought a pair of 18" S03 for rear. Hope this is not a problem with my new wheels...I prefer to not roll the fender... I would say I have a good 2 fingers gap in the rear and like 3-4 fingers gap in front.

Good luck with your install; I have 18" SSR Comp's w/ Yoko ES-100's; with the SSR offsets there is no way I could lower my car more than one inch. The wheels look very. very good on the S2000 but have had to stick with stock suspension set-up. Hopefully you do not have serious issues with rubbing after lowering.

I finally got the wheel installed and no rubbing! My car is dropped with Espleir springs. Front tires are S02s and rear are S03s. Here are the before and after pics:

I have the same wheels. Love them so far. Out of curiosity, what would be the recommended tire pressure for these? I think I might be a bit high at 34psi as its riding pretty rough.

I think acceleration wise, I think it affected alittle bit..may be a little slower acceleration...I can't tell. The wheels are light and looks great so I don't mind losing a little acceleration.

As for air pressure, I would stay with 34. I was told for after market tires, I should go a little higher than factory recommended pressure at 32. May be Jim might know..
