19's?
I'm new to the forum, but have been running my stock Silverstone 2003 S2k for a year now and am ready to treat her to some new wheels/lowering. Struggling to decide on which wheels, but more importantly the size. Are 19's to big? Some pics and set ups would be much appreciated.
18s are the way to go.
Depending on the wheel design, 17s look small if the car is lowered IMHO. For example, compare 17" BBS LMs vs 18" BBS LMs on a lowered S2000.
I say pick the wheel, then decide the size.

I had 19" Volk GTV's for a year. They looked great on my 1" Drop. I ran 19X8 + 49, and 19X8.5 +49 225/35-19, 255/30-19. No rubbing in the rear, but they did rub in the front over bumps. Street Handling wasn't an issue. But they were horrible at the autoX (I sold my 17"s at the time)
I won't say they RUIN the car's handling, but they don't help. GOOD tires are expensive - so keep that in mind. I also lost quite a bit of top end (I'm going to blame the wheels. Stock AP2 should hit 150 mph, I hit a wall at 132 - it wouldn't accelerate past 132)
That dude is right about some wheels looking small on certain sizes. I'm currently running 17" Volk RE30's in Formula Silver and they look smaller than AP2 V2's. I think it has to do with the darker center, it just makes the wheels look smaller.
17"s are really the perfect size for the S2000.
