Default Is a 2.5% difference that much?

As much as I want the 225/45 255/40 setup, I just found a 235/40 255/40 setup for a good price.

Here are the numbers:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
255/40-17 4.0in 12.5in 25.0in 78.6in 806 0.0%
235/40-17 3.7in 12.2in 24.4in 76.7in 827 -2.5%

Anyone think this would look too awkward on 17x8 all the way around? I'm only on springs, so I'm not that low.

Thanks!

Is it that much depends on how much you care about the speedo accuracy. Personally I would get the 235's

I ran a 235/45 and 255/40 combo for a while. With a proper alignment it didn't feel that bad. I would get them, AS LONG as the tires themselves are good.

Thanks guys. Tires are Yokahama S Drives at 9/32s and he's asking $225, which means $150 in Craigslist dollars.
