Default 225 & 255

17x7.5, offset 48
17x8.5, offset 50

if i went with 225/45 front and 255/40 rear on a 03 s2k stock suspension, would I rub?

No you should be ok. If you lower it you will need to roll the fronts and maybe the rears.

I would say that the rear can be an issue with a 50-55 mm offset. The 245/40R17 is safer if you don't want to do any modification to the fender lip. If I can help let me know.
