Default 245/45/16 on front?

Has anyone replaced their front wheels and tires with stock 245/45/16? and did it make a difference?

I have put the 245/45R16 on the rear of the car but never have I sold them for the front. I would think the car would tramline quite a bit with the 245 on the front. If you can even get them on the front.

245's on the front!?!? w/ stock rims?!?!

Nope, not gonna work.

225's will fit.. but it's tight.

245 for the rears.

One member has put 265 kumhos on the rear w/ 225s on front. If you are really trying to cram the largest tires on.

I've heard of people putting 225's on the front, but not 245.. I think it would look awkward to put 245's on the front...

I've got 245's on the front... but with 18" wheels. They do 'tram line' quite a bit more than the stock 205's. I personally don't like how this feels, and will be going with something smaller (225's) when these wear out.

If I was to replace my stock SO2's with SO3's am I better off staying with stock sizes or moving to 225 in front and 245's in the back and if I made the change what are the pro's and con's.

You would actually be better off with the 205/55R16 front and 245/45R16 rear. These sizes will keep you in the same amount of stagger front to rear that the OE tires have. The S03 will give you better wet traction more comfortable ride and longer tread life. The OE S02 tire will be better handling in the dry.
If you are not looking for the ultimate dry handling tire then the S03 would be an excellent choice.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

Jim, I'm guessing your very pro S02.....what would be your second choice not including S03's?
