Default 245's on the front?

Will 245's rub on the front? I want to get star specs in the widest possible size that will fit on the stock ap2v1 rims. I heard about these bumper tabs that apparently break off when you corner hard. Does anyone have a picture of what these are?

245 wouldn't be a problem with +55 offset, but stock front wheels are only 7" wide, not wide enough for 245s. Widest you should go: 225/45-17.

Sorry to thread hijack...I have 18x8+38 with a 225/40/18 tire on the fronts and car is lowered 40mm. I have my fenders rolled with a very slight flare with no rubbing but its close!

I was thinking of putting 235/40/18 rubber on the front instead of the 225's but didn't know whether they will look overly meaty or not? I dont want them looking too meaty but have the 235's spare so didn't know whether its worth a try?

EDIT: OP - 225's will work but no idea about 235's or 245's on your OEM rims. I'd think they would be too wide.
