Default 265, 275, 285 for my 10 inch rears?

I'm pretty knowledgable about wheels and offsets, but by no means am I an expert. Tires are another story. I tried searching but didnt really come up with much.

Anyway,
My new setup has 18x10 +68 in the rear. According to the fitment guide I should run a 275 or 285 tire on these. I did read that some have put a 265 on these. I dont really care for the stretched look, just want what fits properly. The tires I'll be going with are BFG KDW2's which I have now. I'm dropped about an inch all the way around on Buddyclub coilovers. I'm thinking I should be happy AND safe with 275's but I wanted to get some other opinions.

Thanx in advance,
Brandon

Seeing as how you can put a 275 on a 9" wheel, a 285 will fit on a 10" wheel without any issues. Now, whether you'll have any rubbing issues is another story...

Thats why I'm asking for people with personal experience.

Hopefully they will chime in for you. My guess is that you'll need to either: (1) roll the rear fenders or (2) run about -3 camber in the rear. Also, why are you running such large tires? For looks/show? Unless you are FI, those big tires are going to do nothing but make you slower!

18x10 +68 is a safe fitment. Shouldnt have to do anything. Why am I running such large tires? I'm assuming you mean rims.......Looks..........these dont weigh to much more so they arent gonna slow me down that much. I dont track it, just a weekend car.
No, I meant tires. 285s are pretty wide, and if you are N/A your S2000 is going to be SLOWER with these wide of tires. Also, your speedo is going to be off because your gearing will be affected.

O, I'm not saying I WANT to run 285's. I want to run what ever isnt gonna cause me any problems. If I need to run 265's or adjust my suspension I will.

This is how a 275 sits on a 10.5" wheel. I don't rub at all, but I'm at +76 offset. With a +68 offset, you'll rub with 285s but they will sit almost perfectly square on the rim. A 275 might rub a little, but you should be fine. I think the tire fitment of a 275 on a 10" wheel is perfect. A 265 will have about as much tire stretch as my 275s do, but it absolutely WILL NOT rub.

If I were you, I'd run a 275.
