they will be going on a volk te37 9 inch rear rim with a +60 offset.

the 255 is ment for a 9 inch rim but i can fit the 275 on it

the front will be a 225

i have 255's on my 9'' rears you can run a 275 no prob if your fenders are rolled. You will just have a bit more sidewall.

225/275 is a huge stagger. I would imagine that your car will have a decent amount of understeer. I would go 225/255.

i can adjust my suspension slightly to compensate for the understeer. the large rear will really help me with tight rotations i think

Your car does not need a 275 for the rear of the car. It just doesn't need that much tire. Stay with the 255 on the rear.

Unless he is tracking the car. You can never have too much grip (Unless you are to the point of traction rolling which would be insane).

A 275 rear tire would require a larger front tire 235 or 245 at least to maintain the factory stagger.

Yes you can get to a point where you have "too much" grip. You get to a point where added weight, increased rolling resisitance, and greater drag don't make up for the extra grip in the corners. But anyway, I do run 275's , and its nice...
