ADR Kassai 18" Help Please!
Hey everyone I never modified anything in my life because the 2002 s2000 black/black w/hardtop that is due to be delivered sometime next month will be my first car. Anyhow I really like these rims and was wondering if anyone had any information about them. I'm planning to get them in 18" and well 18x7.5 is what I'm seeing on their website. What offsets do I have to put them in to fit and is it possible for me to get these rims on my car? Any information given would be great.

check out the FAQ section (top of the screen), for general guidelines regarding wheels and offsets. I am not sure of the offsets offered with this wheel, so I really do not know if they will clear on the S2000 or not.
Just remember to keep the rear wheels and tires larger than the fronts. You can squeeze a maximum of 8.5" in the front and 10.5" in the rear - with the right offsets and build of wheels, but I'd trim an inch or a half inch off of those extremes.
Not sure how much they weigh either. You might want to find out some more information on the wheels before you decide upon them. If you'd like to see what kind of wheels and packages I can offer you, send me a PM or email. Thanks.

-Schatten thanks for the reply. Thanks for your input on these wheels. The reason why I like these wheels is because a friend of mine had them on his 95' mr2 turbo and they looked awesome IMO. I just found out that they weight 22 pounds. I know it's a bit heavy and all but I guess the only way for me to find out if these rims are for me is if somebody out there has already tried to get them on their s2k. Is there anyone out there that has a photoshoped black/black s2k with these rims? I found out that they offered these rims in 18x8 and 18x9 would these sizes work with the s2k? Anyone can jump in and put in comments please keep me notified. thanks again

The ADR kasai is normally
offset at 38 in their 18x8 size and would not be a suitable match for our S2K because with that wide a wheel, the minimum width tire is usually 215, which would place your tire/wheel outboard by 1.6 inches if you had a 215/40/18 front. Not good. In a 17-inch size, they make a 17x7 with an ET48 which WILL work because you can put a 205 on the front and 225 in the back, keeping the proper stagger. It's all about whether or not you want that particular wheel or super wide tires, which will mandate you choose another selection in a wider width with higher offsets.

is that what they told you? If so, it will not work. And the suggestion of larger sized tires will not work either on the same wheel.

All your answers lie within. These tire/wheel questions seem to be boiling down to one of two things...either the wheel is more important or the width of the tires. You can have both if you go exotic (custom offsets) but in most cases, you're not going to be able to get both without spending serious cash for
wheels designed specifically for the S2K,
otherwise, it's a compromise. Stay close
to OEM wheel/tire widths and choices open up considerably. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the wheel FAQ as a be-all, end-all guide to aftermarket tire/wheel selections. At best, it represents applicable parameters for those looking at exotic wheels but for the rest of us, it is simply incomplete with its information.
For instance, there is no mention of a 17x7 choice for the front, which is certainly an acceptable size. Also, the recommendation to not go lower than ET48 for a 18x7 wheel is incomplete without taking into consideration the size tire being placed on that wheel.
A lower offset can be used if the tire width is on the narrow side of wheel width fitment guides. IOW, a 215 on a 7-inch wide tire allows you to use a lower offset wheel as opposed to a 225 tire simply because you have reduced your tire's width by nearly 1/2-inch. I will say that the originator of this FAQ does state that if the S2K owner does not intend to lower the car, the offsets can be less. Why? Because lower offsets push the wheel outboard. However, nowhere does he state that can be countered with tires of OEM width. Also, where is the 17x7, 18x7, 18x7.5 wheel selections for the rear? He didn't post any. I'm not prevy to who created this FAQ, and I hope my post doesn't sound like a personal attack on the effort, but it simply is too brief to take the place of the link above, or others. There are way too many variables for recommendations to be that narrow.

Thanks for the response Phantom.
BTW, that FAQ was posted up there by me, with the help of that guy right there (points to Phantom).
As far as proper offsets, keep in mind, we're also needing to clear suspension.

Thanks to all of your inputs and suggestions! I greatly appreciate it. Well I guess I'm going to have to look around a bit more to find out what suits my needs. Anyone have any suggestions on some 18" rims? agains thanks alot you guys!
