Its actually the same outer fitment up front between the two options and the 9+63 in the rear is actually 5mm less aggressive fitment then the narrower 8.5. Both can fit without rolling depending on tire width choice, but your really better off running the wider rim option to get a better looking and fitting with more performance oriented contact patch, with less tire pinch on 225/255 tire widths. That's what id do if these were my two options, without hesitation.

I was debating too...
I decided for 8+54 & 9+63, It gives you a better tires choice as previously mentioned.

BVtec, what tire size are you running? I assume you didn't roll your fenders? Per my estimate, you save more than 20 lbs going from oem to RG3, can you guys noticed from driving?

I am planning to reuse my old tire (oem size) for now, since I still have a good 80% left on it. Not fender rolling!!! Possibly going 225/255 in the future.
As far as driving you should get a little better performance and better breaking performance since u have less rotating mass.
