Default Advan wheels - made special for the S2000

Advan wheels, by Yokohama Tire in Japan, have become one of the leading aftermarket wheels for the import market. The wheels fit a nice balance between performance and price. The wheels are very unique in that they achieve a weight similar to forged wheels by using a flow form casting process. This process achieves a high uniformity in the wheel increasing strength. A good write up about Yokohama Tire's manufacturing process can be found here:
http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/ext...nTechnology.pdf

Unfortunately, the widths and offsets for the S2000 are not as ideal as we'd like due to the relatively high offsets used on the S2000 with its unequal length suspension arms and offset hub / brake components. You've probably seen many pictures with the Advan wheels on S2000s, but they require high negative camber and modification to the fenders in order to get the wheels to fit.

We have in the past worked with wheel manufactures to produce special configurations for the NSX (such as the ScienceofSpeed edition TE37) and we're looking to do the same for the S2000

We are working with the manufacture to produce wheels specifically made for the S2000 market. This would require a large investment not only from Yokohama Tire, but also for us as we'd be required to purchase a large quantity of these wheels. In order to gauge interest, we are asking customers who may be interested to weight in.

INFORMATION UPDATED 2/3/11: Advan RG-D for S2000 have arrived from Japan!

Last chance to take advantage of the discounted pricing is this Friday 2/4/11!

Hi Chris. Just so you know, I have Advan RS 17 x 8.5 +50 in the front, with a 225/45/17 and I don't have any rubbing. Lowered to 2 finger gap and stock front camber. Clears Stoptech BBK too.

I think offering non-staggered would be a better alternative.

Voting for RG-D 17" Black or Gold

I can prolly find a way to get rid of my regular RGII's and upgrade to these

Would the new spec clear BBK's? I think it's pushing it with the current spec so how would '-D's look as far as concavity in that offset?

I think staggered 8 & 9 would be best but 7.5 & 9 is also good.

1) RG-D 2) RS 3) RS-D
18" is my preference, but 17s look good also
black (time attack is my favorite but I doubt that's available) - gold - white - gunmetal in that order

1. RG-D
2. 17"
3. Silver

That said, I would buy 9" +45 all around which is already available. If this specific wheel is too high of an offset you are going to lose the lip or concave spokes, something has to give. I like what you are trying to do, not sure there is going to be much of a market though. There are already a lot of high offset wheels available in that price rance. I would love to see an inexpensive wheel like an RPF1 available in 10" ~+60, it would appeal to both track guys and people who just want the look, my 2 cents.
