Default All around street tires

This poll considers wear, ride and rain as equal to performance. That doesn't mean "I just want long wear because I drive slow." Instead, it means "I love my S and drive it a lot, sometimes even to a track day, but I'm not made of money so Advan Neovas every 9 months ain't happening."

Falken Beta 512's are a decent all-around street tire

Just got my Kumho SPT recently for street/autoX/track. Although they may not grip as good as the stockers in the dry, the SPT are cheap good all-around tires. I figure if I have to replace my street tires every year or so anyways, why not get some cheaper ones (that don't suck in performance of course) and not feel bad about wearing them out. I don't go for all-out lap times or be competitive at autoX with street tires anyways so any tires that can provide the fun are good enough for me. I'm known to be easy on tires on the track and at the most recent track day, I turned some lap times that would've been still respectable even if I were on R-compounds. That tells how good the SPT can hold up on the track. The SPT also held up pretty good thru' the puddles in the wet morning sessions.

One important note about SPT and any other soft sidewall tire is that they are sensitive to wheel width. They don't work good on narrow wheels. I run 7.5" for the 215/45/17 and 8.5" for the 245/40/17 and for me that's minimal. From my experience on my BMW, 8.5" works best with 235 tires.

Where are the Bridgestone OEM and S03 tires? They have to be the most popular tires on this car.

I voted for the Khumos.

I have heard good things about the Hancook performances tires too, but they were not listed. I don't know if they offer the correct sizes for 17 inch S2000 specs.

I didn't include the S-02 or 03 because they wear too fast. The S-03 is on the All Out Perf Poll.

Not too many votes. Did I just have the wrong selections?
