Default All Season's for Winter

I have the Sumitomo HTRZ's high perf summer tires now. For what its worth, they are a great value. I've ran summer tires in the winter b/f but am thinking of getting some all-seasons this year. I live in Maryland. The winter isn't too bad, but starting in late December and through March, it can be pretty cold.

Anybody have any experience with the all seasons on the S? The Sumitomo HTR+ tires are fairly inexpensive.

Thanks for any input.

I am interested in the answer to this question. I live in NC and don't really need snows but would like to run something with a little better cold/wet traction that pure High Performance Summer tires.

I had the htr+ last winter and they did just fine for the weather we have here in Richmond. The one day we got a ton of snow I just didn't go anywhere.

just ordered the htr+ all seasons from tirerack, no discounts though , but I did save $100 instead of going to the local tire shop and paying $140 a tire with some name I never heard of

Meh. I run this on clunkers, not bad, not great. Take a look at the price and ratings for the new Continental extreme all-season!

I'm stuck b/t the HTR+ and Goodyear Eagle GT all-seasons. The HTR+'s are a much better price, but the tread rating is much lower. The Goodyears have better ratings overall.

Anybody have any experience w/ the Goodyear GT's?

^ interested in hearing about the new GY Eagle GT's.

May I add that plenty of people have driven on up to 2 inches of snow on Eagle F1 All-Seasons without problems? I heard this from some people, so I can't give you a first hard review unfortunately.

The GT's are one of the better all season tires for winter traction. They are on the longer side for tread life as well.
If I can help let me know.
