Default another FITMENT question 9"+38

Ok guys this is my first post other than the Intro i made 20mins ago to the aussie section of this magnificent forum and gold mind of knowledge.

Basically my S atm has bone stock suspension set up.
currently running 17x8+45 all round and that is basically the limit for the front they look like they are about to poke out at -1° or -1.5°.
Im on the hunt for a set of reputable brand wheels at decent price, meaning 2nd hand, basically everything in the Ausy classifieds is for skylines,silvia, maybe some mazda Rx stuff.

there is very little stuff in the higher offset range.

best at the moment i have found is a set of 17x8+36 and 17x9+38 Advan TriSpoke, I myself am a fan of the 3spoke style, something different to what we usually see.
what kind of camber would I need to make this work.
For front I think it should be fine maybe make it -2° camber
But for Rear is it even possible to achieve non-protruding fitment with just camber adjustment?
I am at stock height, dont plan on going much lower in the future when I get Coilovers ill only drop a CM all round, maybe a tad more on the rear for balance.

will this kind of fitment at stock height require rolling or pulling? as I dont really trust any one in Perth (AU) to do it very well.

would appreciate anyones thoughts.

I have run 17x9 +38 with a 255/40... Required roll/pull and bumper tab relocation.. Along with -2.5 camber or so. But I was nearly tucking tire.

17x8+36 and 17x9+38 are doable. But tire widths are going to have a fitment factor. If you really want these wheels and limited work and risk to your fenders, wile running a decent alignment that wont prematurely wear the insides of your tires out in 3k miles, I would go for the stock 215/245 tire widths. Roll the fenders all the way around and aim for -2 camber front and rear.

This. Then run a 215 front and 245 or 255 rear.

I am not looking to tuck tyres or anyhting crazy AU laws are a pain.
and my front lip is close enough to the ground for me.

so you guys all agree this fitment is too aggressive to run with just camber?
how much camber can we get at stock height by the way.

Yes. Generally speaking, running wheels this aggressive is not a good look at stock height. It really takes the whole package to pull it off: at least 1" drop, -2 to -3 camber, and rolled fenders. I almost always recommend OEM 17's for those who want to stay at stock height, it's hard to improve on them.

I am fairly sure you can't get to -2 camber front at stock height but probably could in the rear.

ill try source either AP2 rims or anoter 17inch rim that is of appropriate sizes. i have -2 in the back already so your most likely right.
will be hard to find a nice 9" with 50+ offset though.
ohwell atleast if i do decide to go lower i can do so without being scared of rubbing.

Yes, looks much better Rosario. Though the previous pick wasnt too bad, the gap is a bit much, but the wheels were pretty flush still. Ive seen much worse!

I did actually come across your post in another thread Rosario.
and those rims are very nice and the lower ride height really makes the difference, not a fan of springs myself due to all the negative rap they get, how are you finding the swift springs? swift is a company I would trust at least.
I never really planned to ever go low so i was thinking of trying to source CR front suspension from the USA to get a more confidence inspiring setup.

But if I'm going aggressive in fitment I really will have to go lower to avoid looking... Is it Mexican? not sure on that term being Australian.

lets say I decide to keep around standard height this means I should go for wheels that look more like stock fitment? I really dont want to modify the guards if I can help it. but at least if I do decide to go a bit lower with wheels at the correct offset i will still not need to modify the guards, unless I go much lower. This is whats making me lean to getting the right offsets first time around. the only reason I have the wheels I have now are due them being cheap and available. but rear tyres are rubbing out and I want to get 9" wide rears to accept a proper 245
