Default AP1 Daily Driver looking at Pilots

Topic says it all. I have an Element for days when there is snow on the ground. I've owned convertibles most of my adult life and tend to keep the top down for all but the most frigid days. So, I'll probably be driving the S2K throughout the winter, as long as the roads are neither snow nor salt covered. Looking for something that will get me though the wet weather of the North East and not strand me at work if it starts to snow before I can start my half-hour commute home. To me, it looks like Michelin Pilots A/S 3+. Any other recommendations? Since I'll be using the Element for most really bad weather, I don't think I need winter tires.

For what you describe, those tires would work well.

Except you are compromising your performance for the majority of your driving, for just those days where its below summer tire temps (and especially when snow is possible).

My alternate suggestion is mpss, and just don't drive the S in the really cold weather. Its less days you can drive the S, but then all the other S driving days will be more enjoyable, since youll be riding on tires better suited to the car.

I don't think MPSS is available for AP1 sizing.

The pilot sport 3 AS+ is probably the best tire for what you want.

Just put the pilots on today. Love them already. The car badly needed them.
