I just recently bought a second set of ap1 wheels off of a buddy that no longer needs them. The problem is that they were his track wheels, spray-painted flat black, and have pretty nasty, little curb checks on them.

My dad says that once the tires are off of them, he can have them sand blasted with glass, and get them painted at the plant where he works. After that, I should be able to paint over them whatever color I want. Any help, tips, pointers, advice, no-no's, etc. I should be aware of?

And could somebody help me decide by photo-shopping my wheels black with a red stripe on the lip? Thanks in advance!
