After scouring the web for s2k friendly wheels that look good (to me), I always either end up with something that will require loads of fender work, costs a ton, or looks like crap. I've decided I like the look of the ap1 wheels, and would rather try to work at making them look a bit meaner ie; no sunken in look.

So I was thinking of running anywhere from 15mm to 25mm spacers in order to eliminate the sink, and also to drop the car about an inch so as to avoid the 4x4 look. Does anyone have any experiences with the ap1 wheels on this? I've read the ap2v1 discussions on this, but there is very little info on what size spacers to run and how to avoid doing fender mods.

People do this all the time with the ap2 17's, so I don't see why there would be any issues at all with running spacers with 16's as long as you arent running some huge tire. I'm lowered an inch on Tein S-techs and It looks like i would have room for spacers with no problem! If you end up going this route, post pics

 

Yeah I figured that if I ran 20mm, then they would essentially be +35 in the front and +45 in the rear. I can't seem to find any upgraded sizes in 16 inches anyway so I'll just go with star specs or something grippy

They run all different sizes with the ap2s.

As for the ap1 wheels....,Maybe i was wrong. Check out this link... There's a silver ap1 with +25 all the way around and he had to do some work. Hes probably dropped more than an inch though on whatever suspension he's running. You should just try it
