anyone got ap2 rims painted? i wanna see some pics of what people chose and how they look. cause im going to paint my ap2v2's soon and i want them to look nice.

no pics, but I painted mine flat black with the rattle can wheel paint, and use em with R-compounds for track days. turned out pretty good. be sure to degrease them first and use many thin coats so the paint doesn't run. I painted them mounted so I also masked off the tires and made a round cardboard cutout for behind the spokes. know that these are used for track days only so if i get a scratch i just spot fix with the spray paint. so far so good though... no peeling or anything.

 

I am a huge fan of flat black. All my friends make fun of me for it, anyway flat black goes on PERFECTLY even and can be spot fixed. I usually leave some silver or chrome left as an accent. Totally changes the look of "old" wheels.
