Thumbs up AP2 Stock Rims

I love the stock AP2 wheels on my 06 berlina black, and I'm thinking about getting them powder coated to bronze of a soft gold. (I love the way gold or bronze wheels look on black cars!)

What are my fellow S2K owners thoughts? Will it increase my wheels' weight dramatically?

That would be original, as I have yet to see '06 wheels powdercoated. I would post a picture of your car in the gallery section and ask for a photchop to see how it would look.

As for the weight, not it will not be dramatic.

Thanks! I thought it'd probably look good. And would also get me by until I actually get some new wheels!

go for it, i think the 06 rims look sick anyway, but you are right, black cars look good with bronze wheels, so i think you will have a nice looking set of wheels with a nice color to match.

To give you an idea of weight, paint is about 3 mils thick, powder coat is about 6 mils thick. So, I guess powder coat should weigh about twice as much as paint. Minimal increase IMO. Heres my 04 wheels
