Default Ap2v1 reproductions

I want these wheels later thus spring but can't find any. Figure they will be high when I do since I am having trouble finding them. Does anyone have experience with the reproduction ones they have on eBay? I wonder how long they would stay looking good versus oem's?

I have em, and they are identical to the real deal. Mine are for sale too.

I bought mine AP2V1 reproductions on ebay as well. They look identical to stock wheels and weigh the same too! I haven't installed them yet as I bought them recently and my car is still stored for the winter so I can't offer any opinions on longevity.

I may be speaking out of turn here because I haven't had any first hand experience with this, but there is a thread on AP2 rims that started forming cracks after powder coating. Those were OEM rims and OE rims have strict processes in place for heat treating and age hardening of the rim to give it the strength.

I would be watchful of replica rims because chances are that the heat treatment process was where they cut costs in manufacturing which will yield a much less durable rim and may be more prone to failure later on. This is just something I would consider before purchase...

Is it true these reproduction wheels are heavier? Has anyone weighed them to compare? Thanks!

You can find reproduction wheels on eBay, but I am concerned in the longevity of them and their finish. I have nothing to base this on, but it is my concern and reason for my post.

I weighed them on a shipping scale the day I bought them. They are virtually identical in weight within an ounce or two either way.
