Default Balancing issue with Hankook V12s

Anyone have any issues ? at 65mph its perfect, at 70-75mph i get vibrations which reduce when i go 80.

i recently bought the TSW with tires packages. store does not have road force, they have installed hub rings and so far balanced everything 2 time, and I still have issues.

Corporate office said I have several choices.... I can do rebalancing once again, I can try different tires, and finally I can go to Honda and have them balance the wheels on road force which they will pay for.

What do you think I should do?

Simple, find another shop to balance your wheels.

lol, not that simple. mounting and balancing and alignment was already included in price. if i go to Honda, this shop is willing to cover the cost of balancing which is $80 bucks, but what if thats not the problem ?

i suppose i am gonna give that shop another chance and then bring it to Honda for road force balancing.

also not a fan of going to Honda dealership. they always test drive my car for good 15-20 minutes after each service.

How bad are these vibrations? If they are significant, I'd have a hard time believing this reputable shop messed up the balance that badly.

I would ask a different technician to do the balancing on a different machine. You could always to go a different shop just to confirm if the wheels are balanced or not. Might cost you $10.

yep, thats what corporate office said. try going to different location. i already did and tech discovered that i need hub rings so they didnt bother with balancing. tomorrow will go there again and they will rebalance the wheels. this is going to be 3rd time and 4th visit in total. but so far customer service has been great, they even offered to switch my tires for more expensive model for free.... unfortunately the other tires i want are not in stock.

and no, vibrations are not that bad but sure are there mostly at around 75mph. One tech said that its weird and usually all vibrations are at 55-60mph < i am not sure if that true though.

i had bad balancing experience before on my M3. i bought tires from big chain and they road forced it, i had vibrations and they couldn't fix it, i went to BMW dealer and they laughed at me for going to some chain with M3 after they rebalnced my wheels at dealer, it was perfect.

The hub rings aren't the problem. I run two different set of wheels without rings without a problem, including a set of TSW Nurburgrings with v12s.

I'd suggest another balancing machine, if that doesn't solve it, see if they will check the wheels/tires to see if they are true.
I'm assuming you have another set of wheels (maybe stock?) that don't have this problem?

I have stocks with winters.... they had smaller vibration. but before I put winter tires on stocks, I had zero vibration.

I noticed small vibration coming from my New Hampshire trip in winter. They had shit for roads there, I hope it didn't mess anything up with my car

If you had vibrations with other wheels maybe it's your cv joints?
