Bent RPF-01- Repair or Replace?

It drives me nuts when people call rpf-1s strong. They're not. I went to a track event where 4 separate guys bent at least one of their 17x9 +45 rpf-1s.
cheap and lightweight yes. Strong? No.
Anyway, to the op. Track guys consider rpf-1s disposable and treat them as such. Replace, not repair, maybe if street use only then repair if cost is under 100.
BTW, if it was an HRE or Volk, it probably would have never been bent in the first place.

Any wheel can bend, don't let anyone tell you they won't. People think expensive wheels are indestructible for whatever reason...As for RPF-1s...
Post in in the R&C forum - rpf-1s are notoriously weak - they bend lips at the track ALL the time.
Light weight, cheap, strong - pick two. RPF-1s are lightweight (measurable), cheap (measurable), weak/strong (immeasurable, until you test them) - I'm of the opinion that they're weak. I've been told that they're strong, yet I always see them bent at the track. Maybe it's because it's such a common wheel and so many people are using them that it increases the odds of seeing a damaged one
NT-03s, now those are strong wheels. It's too bad the 17"s come with the convex face and are ugly as sin (but at least they have BBK clearance)...
as far as forged wheels, they're not indestructible. They'll definitely bend, but they don't do this -
These are SSRs - cast wheels. All cast wheels are prone to this type of destruction. It's just the nature of it.
