Default Is this the best I can do?

Knowns:

Stock bodied S2000.

Lowered 1 inch.

17 7.5 +50 FR
17 9.0 +63 RR

European alignment.

None of the above is changing, are these tire sizes the best I can do? Or possibly the only size I should do.

Hankook RS3s

225 / 45 / 17 FR
255 / 40 / 17 RR

Thanks in advance.

Without changing the wheels, alignment, or ride height; what you have listed is a solid set-up with no need to change tire sizes.

Also, yes that is the best you should do for tire sizes. Any wider and they'll start to pinch which is bad for steering feel and handling.

might I suggest going with a bit more camber up front? It would even out the wear slightly and give you much better turn-in.

Tell me more. I'm willing to deviate from the Euro OEM spec.
