The best tire compromise?
A Porsche 911 Carrera Turbo owner thinks that it is quiet tire, but it is noisy on your MR2. Fuzion ZRi is liked by many S2 owners on this board, specially for the low cost. I may try ZRi.

I'd like to know what replacement tire gives the best compromise between performance and tread life. My car is a daily driver, but is garage kept
My personal experience, I have Falken Ziez Ze 512 all season tires with a staggered fit to match that of the factory recommendations and am happy with the results. I saved a lot of money on this decision and know that if my tires wear down, at least they allowed me to beat on them more and still held up longer than the S02s and didn't cost as much.
Dunlops are cheap, but they last forever. Read some reviews on TireRack... 40k+ miles on a set!!! And sweet performance. More than other tires maybe in cost, but at twice the lifespan they are cheaper in the long run. The only bad thing is they are slightly louder.. But still awesome tires.
