Best Tires for Dry Pavement/Track
I'm currently running YOKOs 225/50ZR16s (205s front).
What are the best road-viable track tires I can put on? These have done pretty well, but I've noticed there are better tires available from the YOKO line, specifically the 225/50R16s. Are these any good, or should I look at anything different? The car is never driven in the rain or any other adverse weather conditions.
I know many of you are big fans of the stock SO2s (or at least this is the sense I have received through several threads), however after I had the last set put on (after the change between stock format and the new tire), I had them replaced, my Honda tech told me that many people had done the same thing, and recommended the YOKOs. I've been running them for about 1-2 years now.

If you are talking about a street tire I would say the Bridgestone RE-01R. We have feedback and testing that seems to bear that out. We turned a little over 1G on the skid pad with the tire on a stock 3 Series.
If I can help let me know.

Sounds good; basically what im looking for is something that is close to a racing tire but will still function on the street. How would you compare the RE-01R with the YOKO?
What do you mean by "the" Yoko? There are 8 different Yokohama tires in the 225/50-16 size. It sounds like you have tire SIZE designation confused with tire MODEL designation.
Best street tire for the track is likely the Bridgestone RE01R as per Jim's recommendation.
Best track tire for the street? I tried Kumho VictoRacers, and wound up driving 500+ miles home on a corded left rear after the second 2-day track event. Tried again with some few-years-old but unused shaved Kumho Ecsta V700s, and drove 450 miles home on a corded left rear after ONE 2-day track event! This car is MURDER on the outside rear at the track.
Next time, my money's on Toyo RA1's, they reportedly grip very well and are way more durable.
But a tire trailer would be a better option...
If you're not doing track events, and just want sticky street tires, get the RE01R's, NOT track tires.

Bridgestone RE-01r if you're driving on the street and want lots of grip.
Toyo RA1 if you're driving to and from the track on them OR putting down a lot of power on the street. Of course they wont last as long, but they are much stickier than a regular street tire. And you can get them in 225f/245r for the stock AP1 wheels. They're what I currently use for autocross since I dont have space/money for a trailer and Hoosiers.
Another street/track tire (and this might be what you're currently using, I dunno) is the Yokohama A048, stock tire that comes on Lotus Elise's I believe. More expensive than the RA1's but I think grip might be slightly better with them.
