Default best tires for the s2k?

I had Yokohama AVS ES 100s on my mk1 and loved them but every car isnt the same when it comes to tires.

so what tires do yall use on your car??? whats the best tire for the car?

also plan on getting aftermarket rims eventually and wondering whats the best size to look for....?

If $ is not a concern and if Handling and Performance are your first priorities, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is the one

Actually Kumho V700s, Toyo RA-1s and Hoosier A3 SO4 tires out-perform the Michelins by far. Even though they are DOT approved, I wouldn't use any of these on the street though.

IMO, the OEM tire (Bridgestone Potenza SO2, or RE-050 depending on year) have the best balance for real-world summer conditions. They should NOT be used when it is very cold (<40 deg. F) or in the snow).

I have Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's and they are fantastic. Traction is no longer an issue even with the turbo. Before it was definitely terrible with my old Toyo Proxes.
