Thumbs up Best way to remove rubber valve stems

I'm going to prep my stock wheels for powdercoating and I need help on removing the OEM rubber valve stems. Whats the best way to get them out?

Thanks.

Big pliers. Easiest to do from the inside.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I worked on them a little bit with a small screwdriver, trying to push the rubber through the hole, but it didn't work.

use a pair of dykes... cut up the inside a few times, they just fall out after that.

if your at home, i would suggest cutting the little gromet on the bottom first and then the main part of the valve will come right off. or go to a local tire shop and they should pull them out for free in about a minute.

I do these all the time, they pull out from the inside easily. Try an old corkscrew.

I got two to pull out with large pliers. The other two I had to cut with a box knife and take them out. I figured they're cheap and will probably need new ones anyway when I get the tires re-mounted.
