Default Blizzak Tires

Hi,

I live in eastern Kansas and am looking to get winter tires for my AP1. I saw that Bridgestone makes Blizzak LM-25, Blizzak WS 60, and Winterforce for winter tires. I was wondering what were the positive and negative of their winter tires. I saw that Tirerack only has the WS 60 for the AP1 sizes. I noticed that the LM-25's tend to be cheaper. So I'm looking for advice on what to get, we get a few snow storms in the winter and sometimes get an ice storm or two.

I have had a few member's in my group recommend buying from Tirerack, and I was wondering if the prices or shipping at all flexible? After shipping they are about the same price as buying from the local dealership (including tax), but the dealership gives a discount on mounting and balancing. Thanks for your time!

I think you will find that our prices are going to be less than local. We do not collect out of state sales tax on the orders and we have a list of installers that offer mounting fairly inexpensive. Depending on where you are the the LM series would be better if you do not get a lot of snow. If you get a lot of snow the WS60 would be the better option.
If I can help let me know.

The winterforce is a pos IMHO. The 60 rocks on real ice, and the 25 is great if they plow, but you get some ice.

The LM's are gone for the AP1. The only thing I have left is the run flat tires and you would not want to do that. If you are looking for a better handling witner tire I would look at the Dunlop Winter Sports. The Blizzak WS60 would give you better ice and snow traction
If I can help with the tires let me know.

I concur-WS60 is amazing if you spend a lot of time on ice or deep snow. But not much fun in the dry. The Dunlop WinterSport is technically a snow tire, and does very very well in the snow, but you'd never know it in the dry-it's quiet, has decent grip, stiff sidewall, pretty fun when the snows not flyin....
