Default Winter Tires

Since I've given my beater Accord to my sister, I will not have it to drive during inclement weather this year.

TireRack has only the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-60 and the a *new* Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3.

Are their any recommended tires? I live southwest of Philly near DE/NJ, so the weather isn't horrible during the winter. We do get our fair share of ice, cold rain, and some snow.

I'm looking into getting winter tires that can handle snow, ice, and rain, so I won't be stranded anywhere, yet are also good for daily driving during the colder months.

I already have my ap1 stockies, just need the tires to go on them. Oh, and is the staggered setup recommended for snow tires? or is 205-55-16 okay all around?

Thanks for any advice!

I have the Blizzak WS60, which is the best traction tire, Dunlop Winter Sport and the Michelin available. In your are a tire like the Dunlop would be a really good choice. They are recommneded by Porsche and Audi for their cars.
We do have the 50.00 mail in rebate going on at this time.
If I can help let me know

I'd like to know this too. What are the recommended sizes for winter tires on ap1 stock wheels?

I've been very pleased with the Dunlop WinterSports I've run for the past two Rhode Island/SEMass Winters. Great snow/ice grip and reasonably sporting performance otherwise.
WinterSport 3D fronts in 205/55-16, WinterSport M3 rears in 225/50-16.

sorry to threadjack, but I figure this question is in line with OP's question. Has anyone run Hankook W409 i Pike's? There is someone selling these tires local to me. I would also like to know if people prefer the Dunlop's or the Blizzak WS-60? Thanks for your input.
PS: I live in Chicago, so we may see alot of snow, ice, sleet, etc...

Zdan - how many miles are you getting out of the Dunlops?
I've run them for two Winter seasons, figure ~10-12k miles on them, and there's plenty of tread left. I was a little concerned since Winter tires don't have a treadwear rating, but they seem to be much longer-wearing tires than max/extreme summer tires. Should be able to get at least two more winters out of them, maybe more...

I have the tires ZDan recommended and they were very good last winter in New England. I can't tell that they've worn at all and I put about 9000 miles on them last year.

In all of the test that we have seen the Blizzaks have been the best traction winter tires. I have used them for years and they are exceptional. If I can help with the winter tires let me know.
There is a rebate going on right now on the winter tires.
