Boring out Wheels
I was told the wheels I bought would fit with the 5mm spacer required to clear the calipers but they were wrong. With them on I do not grab enough threads with my lug nuts. So what I decided was the best route is to bore out the holes on my wheels so that I can run shank lug nuts (as is, the wheel holes are not large enough to fit any ET lug nuts that I have seen). Does anyone have any helpful advice or input for me? Has anyone done this before? I really only need to bore them out .03" or so but how much beyond the diameter of the ET lug nuts would you guys go (to make installing the ET lug nuts easier).
The holes in my wheels are 15mm or .590"
The smallest diameter ET shank lug nuts I have found are .062".
Thanks guys : )

You could always install longer lug studs so you don't have to modify the wheels. I do know that many VW/Audi guys drill out wheels since their vehicles use lug bolts instead of nuts. It seems that the common method is to use drill bits as shown here.
Yeah I've looked in to that option (I even know a guy with a press) but it seems like its a ton of work. Since my wheels aren't $800 a piece I felt like this might be the most painless option. Thanks for that link though. I'll check it out.
My guess is the wheels are not hub centric either so you may have to drill those out as well. Any time you take away material from the wheel you are going to lower the load capacity of the wheel. Be careful.

I wouldn't suggest having the bolt/lug holes bored out to fit an "acorn" style lug nut, you need a bevel in the bottom of the hole and I just wouldn't trust someone to do that. What the other above poster mentioned about getting longer/extended wheel studs would be the best option, IMO. You don't need a press to put them in, there is a hole in the back of the hub that they slide out of when you hit them with a hammer and to put the longer studs in, you just put them back in the hole and put some washers or an open ended lug nut on it and pull them through with an impact gun (or a long handle ratchet, you just need someone to hold the brakes when tightening them).
