Default Breaking in tires. Help!

hey guys, well I know you should break in tires for 300-500 miles. Now Im wondering if the tire thing is more of a greasy (less grip) thing or damaging to tire sort of thing. Should I still drive normal (somewhat agressive) and just steer clear of the canyons or should I baby it for the first 300-500 miles completely?

TIA guys

EDIT: Oh and an afterthought how many miles should I go until I should re-tighten my lug nuts??? thanks!

When tires are made, manufacturers use a releasing agent to get them to come free of the mold without tearing...think of it like Pam sprayed in a frying pan. The greasy feeling is the releasing agent being worn off the tire. Unforutately, most releasing agents aren't water soluable so you can't wash it off. It usually is pretty well gone in the first 50-100miles. Just take a little more care in driving.

okay so its more of a issue of crashing and dying, than harming my brand new tires? so after about 100 miles im pretty much good?
