also anyone used these compared to the original so2's ?

According to tirerack's specs on them, they have a 8.6" tread width. The S02's have a 8.5" tread width.. So I am pretty sure they will work. I plan on getting these when I gather the extra cash. I have some crappy undersized hankook ventus tires right now.

Yes, thats the right size for the AP1 rears. The tire rack has a review of this tire and many more. As for a direct comparo to the SO-2, the RE750 is a good value but gives away dry grip for longer lasting tire.
