Default Can Ap1s be refinished to OEM look?

My Ap1 is still wearing its original set of wheels which need to be refinished. As you know, the face of the spokes are machine polished and the inside is different. Can a refinisher replicate this? Or would the refinisher just clean and repaint it losing the common Honda machine face?

One of my son's GTI wheels had some curb rash.
They are also machined face wheels. Wheel refinisher
did a great job, re-machined the face and you would never
know. Matches the other 3 wheels exactly.

They refinished the wheels of the AP1 on Wheeler Dealers using a diamond cutting machine. They came out absolutely beautiful.

Yes, a good shop can match the OEM finish. Refinishing usually costs ~$100 per wheel.

Search on eBay, there are usually several refinished AP1 wheels for sale with photos that show the finish.

It might actually be cheaper for you to buy refinished ones on eBay and sell yours as-is.

Also, 00-01 AP1 wheels use silver paint in the non-machined area, 02-03 AP1 wheels have a slightly darker gold hue to the silver paint.

Make sure they clearcoat the wheels after refinishing!

My oem ap1 wheels have some very minor nicks in the clear coat only. Is there a diy repair for that?

Google is your friend. Many websites have wheel refinishing videos done at home. Lots of hand labor.
