Default Can I run 245/50/16 without problems?

I am thinking to get some street legal R compound tires for my track days. However, I can't find any 245/45/16 tires in Taiwan. My car is lowered, still 2 fingers gap to the fender when running 245/40/17 on the back. if I run 245/50/16, will it rub? whoever knows the answer, please do share..

No it will not rub. It will increase the distance from the ground to the bottom of your car in the rear and will change the speedo due to the larger aspect ratio. 50 series vice 45 series.

The stock rear tire is 225/50-16 with overall diameter of 24.8", the new rear tire of the size 245/50-16 will be about 25.6", the different will be 0.8" or about 3%. This may screw up your ABS system and the handling of the car may be negatively effected.

I agree. The 245/50R16 is not a good size to run on the car. You will change the gear ratio and throw off the anti lock brakes. Neither thing is good.
