Default Can this wheel be saved

curb vs. wheel.

was told the curb took a massive hit but the wheel took damage as well. so who thinks this is fixable? wheel still held air prior to tire removal. any opinions for using this as the front wheel as a DD ?

i would say yes...but the repaired part of the wheel might be really discolored from the rest of the wheel

thanks for the input, im actually trying to buy these for super cheap for the sole purpose of powdercoating to match 2 other CE28's. either mercury silver or a flat white to go with suzuka.

Yeah, I saw these on craig to but Sac is too far from me. Take it to wheel techniques because it looks like only the edge of the rim is bent. I had worse before and they fixed it but charged me $$$. Their pricing is ridiculous sometimes because it changes so much depending on who you talk to....

Is Mercury Silver available as a powder coating color?

dunno, probably not off the shelf but a close unnotable match can be made. otherwise its turning white! the reason I even copped the set is because the rear didn't look that bad. I had already bought 2 17x9's off a member on here, and with the addition of the good rear on this set I only need 1 more wheel to finish the set. (either repairing this rear wheel, or finding a new one)

that still leaves me with the front 17x7.5 which I'm sure can be sold separately to make most if not all my money back

im taking it into wheel techniques tomorrow and seeing what they say, if its under 150$ for the repairs ill have it done. (no paint/powdercoating/polishing)

I can have that wheel fixed for you for $150.

This will entail repairs stripping prepping painting baking clearing etc. No stickers though..

are you local to me? i have this nitpicky tendency to scream at the people who mess up on jobs i paid for. my own quality-assurance so local would be better for me just in case something were to go wrong. the up-side is that if the work is excellent, you can expect future business and a bunch of referrals.
