Default Car lowered.. how low is TOO low?

I was thinking about getting my car lowered some.. my friend got his lowered and it looks sweet . I measured how much space it was from the ground it I measured 1 centimeter. u know i gotta outdo him!

So anyway before I do this tell me if its a bad idea: I was just gonna lower the car until its acually ON the ground. I mean i could put some kinda shield under there so it doesnt sand down my transmission and all that right?

i know wut ure thinking.. the wheels are gonna rub and not function. been there, taken care of that; got some wheels off my kids go-kart, and they are like 10", really small.

if i pull this off ill be the man... thoughts?

You should be able to accomplish this by stretching rubberbands around the rotors no need to use another set of wheels, that sh!t costs money yo!!

depends on how wide of rims you want? my buddy has some espiler springs 2 inch drop looks good on stock wheels. but now he wants wide wheels. i have 8.5inch rims in the rear so i can only run 1.5 inch drop or it rubs. also depends on what tire size width you want.

I tried out my idea... I drove around dragging the underbelly.. several things happened I found out later:

Transmission is ruined
my sprockets got ruined
the whole exhaust and header ripped out completely

.. i cant put wheels on the car, ever again.
the drove up to the body shop cuz there were sparks everywhere and the car was making funny grinding noises.

if i want to get it fixed itll cost 36000$ more than a new s2000. ill probably pay to have it fixed.
