Changing wheels & tires on the S2000
A Discount Tire Service in my area has a set of 18" Axis-Reverb 5 spoke wheels with Toyo low profile tires mounted on them. This is a staggered set. The wheels are black with a chrome lip & are just about brand new. They look great!
He is asking $1000 for the set.
They tell me they came off a S2000 that was totaled in an accident.
MY S is a 2001 with 16" stock wheels & Potenza S-02 tires.
Can I put these larger size wheels & tires on my car?
How will it effect the geometry, handling & ride?
Thanks for your help!

What kind of Toyo Tires? That will determine what the ride and handling will be like. But generally speaking, lower profile tires will have a harsher ride, sharper turn-in, and maybe more impact noise. It won't affect the geometry of the suspension, that is independent of the wheels/tires.
We can't really tell you whether or not they will fit your car with out sizes/offsets of the wheels and the sizes of the tires, but I like the look of the Reverbs!
On a related note, 18" wheels tend to make you look like you are monster-truckin' on a stock-height car.

Yes I have 18's and they look great on my 2001. I am lowered on tien springs though.
Anyway, get the wheels balanced and checked out to make sure there was no damage to them in the accident before you buy them. You may not see the damage with your naked eye.
It looks like the offset of the wheels is +42 front and +40 rear. YOu will have to roll your fenders and add more negative camber to make them fit.
