Clearing things up with Spoon SW388s and a slammed car....
To clear up anything you guys heard about the Spoon SW388 not really working with the car being low.
I just installed my 16 inch Spoon wheels and I am running the +35 fronts with the stock S02 tires. I have a 2 inch drop in the front and I have absolutely no rubbing what so ever. You can say BS all you want but its the truth. Even the car shop people were like theres no problem here. I have no idea what you guys are talking about with the rubbing. I even hit a small pot hole on the way home and no rubbing at all. I had more rubbing with my SSRs. Go figure. My Spoon calipers go on tomorrow. I will get pics up soon.

Chris, remember this, you only do 50mph...

and also, there isn't much bumppy road in Hawaii...
so, I think that is why it won't rub..
cuz even my TE-37, 245 width tire, 1.25 inch drop, it rub the fender-well a little... I don't see how it won't rub the fender-well if you drive 75mph avg. and having the bumppy road in NE...

JDMS2000,
Ahhh.. so you're running stock tires. I posted on the honda-tech forum, you can disregard that. I shoulda checked here first.
Have you tried cornering hard? It doesn't rub at all?

Actually the fronts do not rub with hard cornering but the rears do. I just found that out yesturday. I was only running the fronts for like 4 days then finally put both rears on and I do rub if I hit a big pot hole and if there is someone in the car. All this means is its time to roll the fenders. Other than that they should be fine..
I'm looking into the Spoon SW388 wheels as well and I find this thread to be very interesting to say the least. What is the offset of the Spoon wheels (F & R)??? Also, I take it that the front wheels are 16x7 and the rears are 16x8??? I've had experience with Spoon wheels on the Civic/Integra platform and rubbing was never an issue with lowering due to the offset - camber is a completely different story tho.

I am running the 16x7 fronts with the +35 offset and 16x8 rears with a +45 offset. I had to run the +35s in the front because I have the Spoon 4 piston monoblock calipers up front. It fits nice and snug. I heard that if you have the 16x7 +45 fronts you cant run the calipers. Thats just what I heard. I am also running OEM SO2s.
Very interesting JDMs2000... if i understand correctly, +45 offset in the front should be close to stock; thus, no rubbing would occur - but you're running +35 in the front and it still doesn't rub
. As for the rear, I can't believe that it's rubbing with +45 offset... some Volk wheels offer +48 offset; anyone have any experience with these??? that is, does it rub or not?
As for the monoblock calipers and +45 offset wheels, you can probably get away with using a hub centric wheel spacer. That's what I did when I had an Integra with AP Racing calipers.

You have to remember that I am running the OEM SO2 tires which are very thick.
225/50/16 for the rear and 205/55/16 fronts I believe. But yes I do rub but only with the rear wheels. The fronts are fine. I will post pictures once the upcoming car show is over. My car will be in it so I will get you very good pictures.
Volk and Advan make wrong offsets for our car. That's why I didn't go with either of them but I guess Spoon does to for the S2000 but then again if you roll your rear fenders everything will be fine. You can run spacers but its not recommended. I know you can run the Spoon calipers with your OEM wheels with a 15 mm spacer. I personally wouldn't do that but some people here have that setup. So what kind of car do you have?
