Default coilovers?

i've got a daily driver and i look forward to tracking her.

i'd like a suspension that is stiffer tighter and lighter. I've looked a Tiens RAs & CS, and Bilstiens PSS9s. As it is a daily, being able to adjust the damping is very important. the edfc is an added bonus, but i understand that the Tiens have some heat issues. I am wary of used coilovers, is that concern justified? it seems that anyone who would get them will drive pretty hard. as coilovers have moving parts will there be any mechanical failure over time?

any thoughts or suggestions will be very valuable to me. i've been searching all morning, but my thirst for knowledge has yet to be quenched.
