Combining two wheel sets for S2000
Hi, I am a new owner of a 2002 S2000, which has the stock 16" wheels and I recently purchased a second set 16" wheels for winter use. I could use some : hello: advice regarding fitment from fellow owners and also from the Experts at Tire-Rack.
Since the stock fronts are 16x6.5 and the rears are 16x7.5, I was planning on using the regular stagger wheels with the 02's for the summer, and then getting a set of snow tires in 205/55/16 front and 225/50/16 back until I started reading different threads about wheels and tires. I am not so much confused but curious about a different kind of configuration.
My query is:
1) Would there be any problems with using 16x7.5 wheels all around for the summer, with either the stock size tires, or going one size larger with 225/50/16 in front and 245/45/16 in the back?
2) Then I would use the 16x6.5 all around with 205/55/16 snows. (I have seen some threads from owners who recommend using this sizing all around for the winter. )

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the front and rear wheels have different hub diameters. The fronts are larger than the rear, so you should not have fitment issues running 6.5's in the back, but I don't think the 7.5's will fit on the front hubs. If this is the case, you could possible machine the hub hole in the wheels to allow for the larger hub.
If you are talking about using the aftermarket 16" wheels all the way around you can do it but you want to make sure you switch the center rings. The hubs are larger on the front of the car.
For the winter, if you live in an area that gets a lot of snow, the 205/55R16 would be fine on all four corners.
If I can help let me know.

Thank you all for your advice. I did not know that the center hubs were different between the front and rear. I am using the stock wheels.
Thanks Jim, I was not sure about using 205/55/16 all around for the snow tires.
Does anyone make an aggressive all-season type tire that works good in medium snow. I hate to put on snows in November and has to use them until things warm up in March.
Does anyone know anything about the new Pirelli Sotto Nero, or the Vredestein Extreme, they look like agressive snow tires, but I wonder about the wear.
Thanks.
