I assume you mean on the rear? Probably going to rub a bit.

It may stick out a little more and you're probably going to have problems with rubbing especially if your car is lowered which I can't tell from the picture. I would probably stick with what you got. Check out the wheel fitment guide sticky a lot of good info there. Correct me if I'm wrong. Good luck!

if you are close or almost rubbing with the 245's when you step up to a 255 you will rub. if you rolll the rear fenders you can fit a 255.

Hi JD. I can vouch for them rubbin' when things get interesting.
Redfaced I've godda tell you that I got conned into a set of 17x8s with a 48 offset by a flim-flam man who I allowed to override my suspicions.
They're out in my garage bein' used to raise the level of my work bench.
Go by the chart that's been put out jus' for us Stewie owners.
Our +65 in the rear n' +55 in the front really limits what we can use.
Seriously check it out before you spend your money.
Unless, o'course, you've got a work bench that you wanna bring up in height.
Be well, n' like the old knight said . . .
Java
Oh yeah, I'm runnin' stock height, stock suspenders.

255" on an 8" wheel is a little to wide for that size. Stick with a 245-40-17.

As oppose to the the 8 +42, you do have enough room to stick a 245 under there. The Less aggressive, convex work emo's with the 17x7 +42,+47 and 17x8 +47 is only a mere difference of 5mm which is less than 1/4 of an inch space. If you step down with a 235, It won't even have any type of stretch on the tire, so that will be pointless in a way. In order to to ensure guranteed fitment, run slight camber and your set.
