Default confused about SO2s

I read the sticky at the top of the page and it said that the OEM tires are bigger than what they say and that we should get 245s in the rears if the tires are non OEM. Is there a nonOEM 225 version of the SO2s? Like, if i go to my local tire shop and purchase a pair of 225/50/16 SO2s will they be too small? Or should i get some 245 SO2s for the rear? Is there a difference between an OEM 225/50/16 S02 and a 225/50/16 SO2 from a local tire shop?

The actual tread patch on an OEM S-02 in the rear is v.close to 245 from what I've read.

Either buy OEM S-02's for the S2000 or go with 245/45-16 for anything else.

If you take a look at the tread pattern, you'll notice that the front and rear S-02 for our cars has a rather different pattern, some of the blocks are bigger or smaller, almost at random. I'm guessing this is intentional for this special tyre type.

Suggest you ask them for the S-02 with W speed rating. All others (ZR rated) aren't the special tyre for the car.

W (270kmh) should be enough unless you're pushing some major boost!
