Does anybody have any information on Cooper tires? My mom is looking to put some all-season Coopers on her Maxima. The reason she is looking at the Cooper is because that is the tire carried by the shop where she gets all her service done.

What she is looking for in a tire, is good cold weather and snow performace in an all-season tire. She doesn't rip around corners much any more, so performace isn't a major issue. She doesn't want a winter only tire.

Oh, she is looking at the Cooper Lifeliner Classic II

Me and me mum thank you for your help.

Cooper tires are an old line second tier brand. There is nothing really wrong with them but nothing special about them either. They probably wouldn't do for any kind of performance application. Cooper also makes the Futura brand at Pep Boys.

Cooper and General both make generic tires sold by tire shops under their brand name. They're what you might find on a taxicab. They are extreemely cheap, last forever and suck. Did i mention they were cheap? Pep Boys sells um for $25/ea don't they?

Generally you get what you pay for but at $25 each, I'd probably call them a bargain. Again, don't expect to use them for a performance application.
