Default Correct sizing for RE 01R's on an AP2?

Anyone know if any sizing adjustments need to be made in switching from OEM RE 050's to RE 01R's on stock AP2 rims?

For the RE01R's you can do 215/245 and 225/255 without any problems. If you want a setup that's closest to the OEM RE050 stagger (for some reason the RE050 215's have an unusually small contact patch), you can also do 215/255.

215/245 is stock...however these sizes don't directly translate to other tires outside the RE050's. So do some homework.

225/255 is a popular change.

yea i would do a search... but the search doesnt work at the moment...

i have oem wheels with 18 mm spacers... would the 225/255 make my tires stick out more?

i know the stock re05 is different for a 215/245 (i think smaller)... so im looking for something would be the same... in size... but in a re01r or a f1...

The 215/45R17 and 255/40R17 would be the closest match to keep the same amount of stagger. I have sold 225/45R17 front with the 255/40R17 rear and I have sold the 215/45R17 with the 245/40R17 rear. With etither set up you get an excellent handling tire.
If I can help let me know.

Jim,

Any issue with clearance or bump steer with 225/45R17 tires on the front? They're 1.3 inches wider than the stock RE 050s.

Thanks.
