Default CR Replica Wheels

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of shopping for a set of CR wheels. OEM's are kind of hard to come by and they're usually marked up and come paired with tires that I don't want.

Does anyone have experience with CR Replicas? Are they safe to use? I do track day occasionally and don't want to risk my life.

Also, anyone have an idea of how much they weigh relative to the OEM wheels?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you want replica cr wheels- buy a set of ap2v3 and paint them. They are identical in every way to the v3 that came on the 08-09, just a different color.

I agree with dc2. They are same wheels minus the color and are much easier to obtain and will still remain quality of oem wheel.

I think it's interesting that these are so popular dispute being the heaviest oem wheel made for the s. at the end of the day there is plenty of 5 spoke wheels that are far lighter and cost about the same when you factor in powder coat and everything for the v3's. Anyways if you are dead set I agree with the waiting for an oem set to pop up.

I'd rather get the replica set than overpay these people for OEM parts. Who wants a $4200 oem hardtop?

I never bought replica wheels but here's a website I found on the forum a long time ago.

http://www.finishlinewheels.com/

We just had a discussion over the OEM wheels in my local forum, here's the break down.

2000-2003 AP1 OEM wheels = $150-$300
2004-2005 AP2 OEM wheels = $300-$450
2006-2007 AP2 OEM wheels = $450-$600
2008-2009 AP2 OEM wheels = $600-$700
2008-2009 AP2 CR wheels = $750-$800 (I don't see what makes CR wheels special? Darker Shade?)
