Default is it dangerous?

so the last time i posted on here i bought some 16'' BBS stockies for cheap but then to find out that i couldn't put them on my ap1. the problem is that the hub cap is smaller than wheel bearing?? but you no what i mean.. so what im asking is that is it a bad idea to try and bore out the hub a little, just a little, just enough to fit.. whats the worst that can happen?

thanks for reading, any comments would be great. just don't flame on me too much xD

From what I Know it all depends on the rim and the amount of material that needs to be removed, but I will soon and many other seem to be just fine with AP1 rears bored to fit the front hub..

But thats on AP1 rears,
not sure what you mean by BBS stockers?
If you are talking about the JDM BBS S2k rims your on your own since those are lightweight forged rims, and I'm pretty sure they fit AP1s with out mod.

i thought jetta was 5*100 and we are 5*114. so your talking about a hub bore and elongation of stud holes?

i wouldnt do it if thats what we are talkin bout. my friend did in on some 4 lug focus wheels that he had bored to fit on his crx. one of the four wobbled from being slightly off

If its from the make you said, they're not going to fit. Doesnt matter if its 5 lug; the lug pattern is still different. 5x100 is not the same as 5x114.3
