Default Destroyed a Dirrezza Star Spec

I bought a set of SS about a month ago 225-255, and last week I went over some road debris and punctured one of them. I used fix a flat and drove to the tyre shop but the sidewall was destroyed from driving to the shop on the tyre so i purchased a replacement (driver side rear). My tyres have about 1000 miles on them approx. Installed the new tyre today and drove for about 15 miles. The car seems to pull to the right very slightly every now and again and i have to do minor steering correction. What could be causing this?

that would probably be because one tire is newer than the other. Thus being a different diameter.

You should have replaced both rear tires at the same time. Its the only safe way to do it. Having different size tires on the rear can also cause the DIFF to overheat.\

But you should also double check tire pressure which can cause a similar effect if one tire is lower than the other.

Did you check the tire pressure? Make sure the rear tires have the same pressure.

Don't worry about different tread on the rears after just 1000 miles this isnt going to be an issue, and no replacing just one tire was just fine.

Like andi.audi said check your PSI on the right rear tire, I gaurantee it much lower than the left rear. If this isnt the case, then get an alignment, its a PIA to have to do but worth every penny to get it back on track again. GLuck.

I vote for different pressures aswell, very obvious that the car wants to pull sideways if they differ. Tell us how it went when you know!

I dont know about you guys but I wear out sticky tires in roughly 10,000 miles. That means 1000 miles is 10% wear. So there would be roughly a 10% difference between the right and left tire.

Is that significat enough to cause this issue? maybe?

Total tread depth is ~10/32. Tire diameter is 25". A *totally* worn out tire will be just over 1% smaller in diameter (10/32 / 25 = 0.0125) than new.

A 10% worn tire will be on the order of a tenth of a percent smaller than a new tire.

Possibly yes that could be a cause.

One possibility, which you may know already, when it comes to sticky tires, any little imperfection in the road will pull the car in any direction.

Next double check all of your tire pressures. That is usually the culprit for the car pulling in a certain direction.

Let us know the fix

with most of the above

even a difference of a couple PSI will cause a slight pull to one side

with the above. Torsen is NOT revolution based and will have no problem with 1k worn tires. (How do you think you can corner, or run a spare otherwise?)
