Thumbs up Do Tires need a Break-in?

Hey I have my new Bridgestone's sitting here on the paperwork it came with it recommends a 500 mile break in, is this something I should follow?

just dont get crazy till you put a few miles on them.

yes tires come with a "film" that needs to be ran off before you get full traction

a few 9k clutch drops and power shifts up thru 4 did the trick for me. as for the fronts...reverse 360s.

Yes, tires have a break in period. You need to get thru the first layer of rubber before driving hard.

The "film" is tire mold release which tends to lend a greasy feel to new tires till it wears off.

You don't have to do anything specail in breaking them in though. Just go for a cruise.
