Default Do Volk CE28N Time Attack wheels weigh more...

According to WheelWeights.net, regular CE28Ns weigh less than Time Attack CE28Ns...

Code:
| ------------- Name ------------ | --- Manufacturing Method --- |--- Size --- | --- Weight (lbs.) --- | --- Weight (kgs.) --- |

Volk CE28N ---------------------- | Forged --------------------- | 17x9 ------ | 14.8 ---------------- | 6.71316752
Volk CE28N Time Attack ---------- |	Forged --------------------- | 17x9 ------ | 16.4 ---------------- | 7.43891536
Shows regular CE28Ns being lighter in other sizes too. Sure its only by ~1.4lbs, but it still surprised me to see that...

Can anyone confirm if thats true? Any idea what causes that?

Kind of seems counter-intuitive...

My only guess is that the time attack wheel they weighed was a lower offset with more material for hub spacing. My 17x8 front volk GT-n weighs the same as my 17x9 rear Volk GT-n. This is because the front wheel has more hub spacing for BBK fitment.

The wheels weigh exactly the same if the offset, width and diameter are the same. It might be a fraction of an ounce different for the red stripe, but not 1.5 lbs.

The only "color" that would weigh more at all (and maybe only 1-3oz if that) would be comparing some of the "hyper" style colors such as diamond black to a more basic color like silver or white.

I agree, they probably weighed a different offset wheel. We weigh all the part numbers when they come in to give us exact weights on each application.
